REVEL IN THE NIGHTLIFE I like to head to the Lower Greenville area, which is full of restaurants and bars. The

TAKE A STROLL There’s an exercise path called the Katy Trail where you can bike, jog, or walk, and it goes through a bunch of neighborhoods. My starting point is always in the middle, which is in the Uptown area that leads to this cool beer garden called Katy Trail Ice House . Always bring a sweater; Dallas weather can be all over the place. They say you can experience the four seasons in one day.

NCIS: HAWAI ’ I airsMondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streams onParamount+.

MAKE A SPLASH I’m a big lake person. That’s my vibe. My favorite lake in Dallas is called White Rock and is very central. You can rent boats or go tubing and swimming, but I like to relax on a boat with my friends; it feels super tranquil. There’s also a special section of the lake that’s just for dogs to swim in. Even though I don’t currently have my own dog, I love to go over there and watch them play.

atmosphere is lively. My favorite is to hang out with my friends at The Old Monk , which is a restaurant and bar. My drink of choice is tequila and I drink

it neat, but I’m not too picky about the brand. There’s one you can buy called Republic Tequila , and the bottle is shaped like Texas, so that would make for a good souvenir.

The Reunion Tower in Downtown is an iconic building in Dallas; it looks like it has a ball on top. On top of that ball there was a Wolfgang Puck restaurant that I liked to go to for fried ice cream, which is big in Dallas thanks to all the Tex-Mex cuisine, but it closed permanently during the pandemic.

My favorite museum is the Perot Museum of Nature and Science because they have a lot of interactive exhibits and change it up regularly. The building itself is gorgeous, and it’s in the Arts District , where there are a lot of other museums. This area has an old-school trolley called the M-Line that makes it easy to get around and museum hop.

SNAP A B-I-G SELFIE All around Dallas you can find these huge letters—a big “B” and a big “G.” People stand in the middle to make the letter “I” so it spells BIG. There are some in Deep Ellum , which is a funky part of town that is also full of great murals. Another fun selfie spot is the giant eyeball sculpture that’s in the middle of Downtown. /
