TRISTEN J. WINGER

SHOW: So Help Me Todd CHARACTER: Lyle is a know-it-all, silently judgmental private investigator who takes himself and his work seriously. I love Lyle because he’s the part of me that exists that doesn’t feel any obligation to explain myself. He knows what the hell he’s doing and moves with confidence. HOMETOWN: South Central Los Angeles HOBBY: Pharrell is one of my heroes, and he inspired me to start producing music in college. A friend introduced me to the computer program Fruity Loops [FL Studio] that I installed on my old Hewlett-Packard, and I’ve been producing music for nearly 20 years. LAST BOOK READ: Will by Will Smith LATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: I cleaned out my closet and gave away a lot of clothes and shoes that I haven’t worn in forever. I kept overthink- ing that I might need them until I discovered a set of scrubs and a lab coat. I know they’re all in a better place now. FUN FACT: I played the clarinet in junior high school, and on the day of a very important recital, I left my clarinet on the bus. I sat in the audi- ence and watched my classmates perform. FAVORITE QUOTE: “I don’t know what to say; it’s feeling like ‘me season’ right now …” — Issa Rae
